Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born 1 October, 1995 at Berkeley, California, USA. She is best known for her acting appearing as a character in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) and Chrissie Mair's Content House.

Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film-maker as well as an actor family. The two professions she chose to pursue were her own. The actress made her debut when she was just nine years old in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). In 1988 the film of Michele Soavi's The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played the role of Cristina Comencini's Zoo. She was Nanni Moretti's daughter later in the year on the film Red Wood Pigeon (also directed Moretti) (1989). The film Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she had the opportunity to transition from portraying very young girls, to larger, more sophisticated characters. It was received well during the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma (1996) as well as The Stendhal Sydrome are the two other movies she made with her famous father. The Phantom of the Opera is her third film that she's made together with her father. The previous two being Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's deeply absorbed and aggressive style of acting is well utilized in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato A Nozze. In 1993, she played a part in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista in which she portrayed Arianna, a physically disabled girl--an intricate, difficult role that won it the David di Donatello Award for the most outstanding actress . Asia began directing in 1994, and produced two shorts: Prospettive (1996), an account of her father's life and her mother, as well as Abel/Asia (1998) Abel/Asia, a feature on the legendary film maker Abel Ferrara. The latter was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. The year 1999 was the year that Asia was the first to direct a feature film by directing Scarlet Diva (2000), where she played the main actress and writer for the script. In May 2000, the film was released both in Italy and around the globe. The film won a prize at the Williamsburg International Film Festival in Brooklyn. After directing numerous music videos the actress gave birth to the first of her daughters, Anna Lou. She appeared in 2002 featured in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action film featuring Vin Diesel. Asia also wrote several short stories which have been published by many magazines.
